ESL ends cooperation with kassad after scandalous remarks on live IEM Katowice 2023

Tournament operator ESL announced the termination of cooperation with analyst kassad after a scandalous statement on air during IEM Katowice 2023. Michael Blicharz, vice president of the company, who explained this to fans on Twitter, spoke about this.

If you've been watching IEM Katowice 2023 for the last hour or so, you've probably seen old kassad snap and talk about EG. This is absolutely unacceptable. I was very surprised that our miniature stagehand managed to get him off the set. Kassad is an ass and we won't do business with him anymore.

Recall that during the match between the Evil Geniuses and Sprout teams, the analyst ran to the lighting studio, where he criticized the North Americans for a bad game. In his appeal, kassad spoke out about the Evil Geniuses game and refused to work on coverage of the match.

Look, this is just ridiculous. I was supposed to cover this game, but I'm not going to. Evil Geniuses is in a terrible state, they won't go any further - there is no team there, just a bunch of players. This is nonsense, people should know the truth. I will not be silent! I've had enough of this! You must understand this too, people are talking nonsense, I will not do this!

Immediately after that, colleagues took the former coach of 100 Thieves and Cloud9 off the stage, and also began to justify themselves to the audience. In addition, after the incident, SPUNJ and YNk recorded a joint video in which they condemned a Serbian analyst for a harsh statement about a competitor.

Recall that the day before, the Evil Geniuses team lost to Sprout with a score of 0:2 and left IEM Katowice 2023, taking the last place in the championship.
