HEET and Monte qualified for IEM Brasil 2023

Teams HEET and Monte became the winners of the first open qualifier for IEM Brasil 2023 for Europe, thanks to which they advanced to the closed stage of the qualifiers. Here, the teams will join the invited participants, as well as the last two representatives of the region, who will become the strongest in the second open qualifier.

During the qualification, the French team HEET managed to pass Let Us Cook (16:8), selim drogove (19:16), EYEBALLERS (16:7), Apeks (16:12) and Eternal Fire (2:0). In turn, the Ukrainians from Monte on their way turned out to be stronger than Nemiga Academy (16:7), Invictus Gaming International (16:7), HAVU Gaming (16:7), B8 Esports (16:12) and Spirit Academy (2: 0).

Results of the first open qualifier for IEM Brasil 2023 for Europe

  • 1st-2nd place: HEET and Monte - ticket to the closed qualifier
  • 3rd-4th place: Spirit Academy and Eternal Fire
  • 5th-8th place: Copenhagen Flames, B8 Esports, SINNERS and Apeks
  • 9th-16th place: Insilio, SUN Esports, ECSTATIC, EYEBALLERS, Dynamo Eclot, Websterz, HAVU Gaming and Boston crab

The second open qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023 for Europe will take place from 30 to 31 January. In turn, the closed stage of the qualifiers will be held online from 8 to 10 February.

  • Bad News Eagles, BIG, ENCE, Sprout, HEET and Monte + 2 teams from open qualifiers

IEM Brazil 2023 will take place April 17-23 in Brazil. Presumably, the venue for the competition will be Rio de Janeiro, where IEM Rio Major 2022 took place last year. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia will compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, as well as a ticket at IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
