According to the Globo Esporte portal, tournament operator ESL is planning to host IEM Spring 2023 in Brazil. Based on the previously presented schedule of events, the tournament will take place from 17 to 23 April.

According to the portal's journalists, the official announcement of the championship will take place shortly after the end of IEM Rio Major 2022, which continues in Rio de Janeiro. At the same time, representatives of ESL did not comment on this information.

ESL have unveiled the 2023 competition calendar .

Probably, the organizers were satisfied with the attendance and entourage around IEM Rio Major 2022. Nevertheless, some playoff matches of the current major, in which the FURIA team did not play, were held in half-empty stands. However, there were tons of fans in front of the arena, who, according to the community, gathered solely because of the figure of Gaules.

And yet, IEM Rio Major 2022 managed to break some records in terms of views, getting into the TOP-5 of the most popular championships in the history of the discipline.
