The Outsiders team defeated fnatic with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they became the next participant in the Legends Stage at IEM Rio Major 2022. The team got the third victory after four rounds, thus guaranteeing the next performances in the championship. In turn, fnatic goes to the fifth round of the Challengers Stage, where they will try to break into the "legends".

The principal match for a slot in the Legends Stage started on the Overpass map, which turned out to be the choice of the European team. However, fnatic clearly overestimated its chances, forgetting about the successful performances of the opponent on the map. As a result, the Outsiders showed such a convincing defense that they had a clear half and decided the issues in advance - 15:0. After switching sides, fnatic managed to win the pistol round, but limited themselves to that. In turn, the Outsiders were able to take the return force round and take the lead in the series — 16:1.

Next, the teams moved to the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Outsiders. Here the fnatic players managed to show much more struggle and desire to win. And yet, the Russian team had a very good half in attack, getting a comfortable advantage - 9:6. After the side switch, there was a serious struggle on the server, as both teams tried to take the advantage, but they never managed to get ahead. However, in the very end, the Outsiders players were able to read the opponent and got the third victory in the tournament — 16:14.
