00NATION crashes from IEM Rio Major 2022
/The 00NATION team lost to IHC Esports with a score of 1:2, thus leaving IEM Rio Major 2022. According to the results of the Challengers stage, the Brazilian team suffered three defeats, finishing 23-24 and earning $10,000. In turn, IHC Esports got another chance as part of the championship, which they will try to realize tomorrow, November 2.
The first knockout match started on the map Ancient, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, the starting advantage remained with the IHC Esports players, who quickly seized the initiative. And yet, 00NATION had enough experience and understanding to avoid failure and reduce the gap to a minimum - 8:7. After switching sides, the teams continued to exchange a series of rounds. And yet, in the very ending, the Brazilians were able to break the opponent's economy, and then take the lead in the series - 16:14.
Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of IHC Esports. At the same time, the Brazilians, despite their impressive statistics, frankly failed half in defense, allowing the opponent to dispose of the advantage - 12:3. However, after switching sides, 00NATION made an unbearable comeback and moved the map to overtime. And yet, here the Mongolian team managed to survive and transfer the series to the deader — 19:16.
Everything was decided on the Overpass map, which began with a disastrous rout for the Brazilians. The reason for this was the confident defense of IHC Esports, thanks to which the Mongols resolved all issues in advance - 12:3. It seemed that the game was done, but here again 00NATION performed a miracle and made it to overtime. Nevertheless, IHC Esports again managed to break the opponent at an important moment, thus knocking out the hosts from the tournament — 19:16.
