Bad News Eagles and OG made a successful debut at IEM Rio Major 2022. According to the results of the starting round of the championship, the teams were stronger than 00NATION (16:3) and Grayhound Gaming (16:5), respectively. Now the teams will have to wait for their rivals in the second round, which will start in a couple of hours.

Bad News Eagles - 00NATION

The next match of the first round took place on the Vertigo map. Contrary to expectations, the Kosovar team immediately began to build up the advantage, breaking the opponent's attack over and over again. The 00NATION players could not cope with such pressure, who managed to take only three rounds for the attack - 12:3. It seemed that after the change of sides, the Brazilians would be able to please the local audience and return to the game, but it turned out differently. As a result, Bad News Eagles showed four fast rounds to secure their first championship victory and record a 16:3 rout.

OG-Greyhound Gaming

A parallel meeting took place on the Inferno map. At the same time, the starting segment remained with the Europeans, who were in the lead until a forced technical pause. An hour later, several changed monitors and system units, the teams decided to continue the game. However, the Australians did not bother to show the fight, deciding their fate in advance - 12:3. After the side switch, Grayhound Gaming had enough for two rounds, but after that the OG players turned on and brought the matter to a logical victory — 16:5.
