Outsiders becomes first ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam 2022 finalist

The Outsiders team defeated MOUZ with a score of 2:1 and made it to the grand final of the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam 2022. Here, dastan's wards will meet the winner of the match ENCE — Eternal Fire. In turn, the MOUZ team leaves the championship and earns a prize of $10,000.

The first semi-final of the championship started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Russian team. However, the "mice" managed to quickly seize the initiative and close the half in defense with a two-fold advantage - 10:5. After the side switch, the Outsiders started to wake up and pick up the pace, and even took the lead. And yet, in the very end, the MOUZ players managed to turn the tide of the match and take the lead in the series — 16:14.

The teams then moved on to the Mirage map, which turned out to be MOUZ's choice. Here everything turned upside down, as the Outsiders already had the advantage and dictated their terms - 10:5. After the side switch, the European team failed to return, thus allowing the Outsiders to switch the fight to a deserter — 16:9.

Everything was decided on the map Ancient, the first half of which passed under the overwhelming advantage of the "mice" - 10:5. However, after the side switch, MOUZ disappeared from the radar, while the Outsiders demonstrated confident defense and got the final victory in the series — 16:12.

ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam 2022 takes place from 14 to 16 October in the Netherlands at the Rotterdam Ahoy site. As part of the championship, participants from Europe, the CIS, Africa and South America are fighting for a total prize pool of $100,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17 for the winner.
