Outsiders takes place at IEM Rio Major 2022

The Outsiders team turned out to be stronger than Team Falcons with a score of 2:0 in the IEM Road to Rio 2022 European RMR B, thanks to which they qualified for the IEM Rio Major 2022. After this victory, the team takes eighth place in the RMR tournament, thus getting into the Challengers stage of the next major.

The final confrontation of IEM Road to Rio 2022 European RMR B started on the Dust 2 map, which turned out to be the choice of the French team. At the same time, Outsiders quickly seized the initiative on the server, managing to close half of the defense with a twofold advantage. After the side switch, the Team Falcons players could not return to the fight, while the Outsiders quickly found themselves in the attack and brought the map to a victorious end — 16:7.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Outsiders. And again, the Russian team confidently played in the attack, gaining a two-fold advantage in the score. Well, after switching sides, Outsiders did not let the opponent breathe, thanks to which she became the winner of the series and received a slot at IEM Rio Major 2022 — 16:5.

IEM Rio Major 2022 will take place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
