We are moving to the upper bracket of the IEM Cologne 2022 group stage, where Vitality and Movistar Riders clashed for the right to advance to the third round, below we will tell you in detail about the match.

The first skirmish took place on Mirage, and although Vitality chose the map, it seems that they forgot about it themselves. Having taken the pistol round and the next two rounds, the team began to sharply lose ground, without the possibility of anything to oppose the opponents. The first half of the match ended 11-4 in favor of Movistar Riders. After the side switch, the players who took the lead were not going to relax, and continued to easily crush the opponents, as a result of which the match ended 16-4 in favor of Movistar Riders. mopoz showed the best result among the winners, finishing the match with KD 21-8.

Then the teams moved to Vertigo and then the situation was mirrored: Vitality simply closed the first part 12-3 without a chance. Then the team confidently continued dominance, and after the change of sides. As a result, an easy victory for Vitality with a score of 16-3. The best among the winners was ZywOo, who finished the match with a score of 21-10.

The match point was played on Nuke, and there was clearly something to see. Intensely smooth and tense play started with Vitality's pistol round and continued at the same pace. The teams did their best, but the gap did not increase for any of them, as a result, the sides changed with a score of 8-7 in favor of Movistar Riders. The second half of the match also started better for them, at one point the Spaniards managed to get ahead by only two rounds, however, Vitality quickly leveled the score. Albeit a little, but Movistar turned out to be stronger and finished the match in their favor with a score of 16-12. SunPayus turned out to be the best among the winners, finishing the meeting with a ratio of 22-12.

As a result of the match, Vitality are relegated to the second round of the lower bracket, where MOYZ are already waiting for them, and Movistar Riders, as winners, go to the third round of the winner's bracket, where they will meet with the “Born to Win”

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
