Astralis beat FURIA in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022

The Astralis team defeated FURIA with a score of 2:0 and made it to the semi-finals of the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022. Here the Danes will play with Cloud9, which outplayed the Outsiders with a score of 2:0 the day before. In turn, the Brazilian team fell into the lower bracket of group B, where they will meet with the Outsiders.

The duel between Astralis and FURIA started on the Nuke map, which became the choice of the Danish team. At the same time, already in the first half, the audience missed the fight, as Astralis showed a confident attack, closing the half with a two-fold advantage in the score. Well, after the change of sides, the Danes brought the matter to a victorious end without any problems, and at the same time took the lead in the series - 16:8.

Next, the teams moved to the Mirage map, which became the choice of FURIA. At the same time, the first half ended in an equal fight, albeit with a minimal advantage in favor of the Danish team. And yet, after the switchover, Astralis managed to seize the initiative in order to unleash the attack, and at the same time knock FURIA into the lower bracket of the IEM Cologne 2022 group stage - 16:13.

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
