Ninjas in Pajamas wins Global Esports Tour 2022: Dubai

The Global Esports Tour 2022: Dubai has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from June 9 to 11 in the UAE at the Dubai World Trade Center, eight teams from Europe, North America, China and the Middle East fought for a prize pool of $250,000. The winner of the tournament was the Ninjas in Pajamas team, which in the grand final was stronger than MOUZ with a score of 2:1 (Nuke - 16:11; Inferno - 16:11; Mirage - 16:8).

During the championship, the Swedish team confidently dealt with NASR Esports (2:1) and OG (2:0), thus making it to the grand final of the Global Esports Tour 2022: Dubai.

The final match of the championship started on Nuke, which became the choice of MOUZ. But if the first half went in an equal fight, then after the change of sides, the nominal hosts managed to seize the initiative in order to break away and take the lead in the series - 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, the first half of which ended with a two-fold advantage for Ninjas in Pajamas. Despite all attempts by MOUZ to recoup in the second half, the Swedish team managed to keep the lead and level the score in the series — 16:11.

Everything was decided on the Mirage map, the first half of which ended in a rout from Ninjas in Pajamas. However, after the change of sides, the intrigue was not brought to the server, as a result of which the Swedish team scored a victory over the opponent and became the winner of the Global Esports Tour 2022: Dubai Results — 16:8.

  • 1st place: Ninjas in Pajamas - $100,000.
  • 2nd place: MOUZ - $50,000.
  • 3rd-4th place: Movistar Riders and OG — $25,000.
  • 5th-8th place: Complexity Gaming, TYLOO, Falcons Esports and NASR Esports — $12,500.
