Tournament operator ESL announced another change in the composition of the participants of IEM Dallas 2022. The championship was forced to miss the Heroic team, which had an outbreak of coronavirus. The place of the Danish team in the tournament will be taken by MIBR, which complies with the current rules for changing the composition of participants. As the tournament operator noted, Team Spirit was unable to accept the invitation to IEM Dallas 2022, as the team did not have the opportunity to obtain visas for their roster.

The Heroic team will not be able to attend IEM Dallas 2022 due to coronavirus concerns. Based on the world rankings from ESL, the MIBR team has received an invitation to the championship and will try to arrive in Dallas before the start of the meeting against Complexity.

These are not the first difficulties that IEM Dallas 2022 presented to its participants. Previously, NAVI and Entropiq failed to enter the championship, while Spinx was denied a visa. As a result, teams BIG and Movistar Riders were invited to the championship, while ENCE will compete with snax. In addition, trace, Astralis' head coach, was unable to obtain the proper paperwork to enter the United States. Also, the Ninjas in Pajamas organization announced changes in its roster, forced to invite ztr to replace hampus.

IEM Dallas 2022 will take place from May 30 to June 5 in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Sixteen teams will compete for a prize pool of $250,000, as well as ranking points in the EPT and BLAST Premier tables.
