WePlay Academy League Season 4 Preview

WePlay Academy League Season 4 will start very soon — a new season, new teams, new talents. Thirteen teams from Europe and Latin America will compete for a permanent prize of $100,000. This time the championship will be completely online, which will not prevent the teams from showing spectacular Counter-Strike. We offer to get acquainted with the format of the event, the participants and the distribution of the prize fund of the championship.

WePlay Academy League Season 4 format

The championship will be held in three stages:

  • Group stage: May 24 - June 6 (replays possible on June 7);
  • Play-In: June 9-12;
  • Playoffs: June 24-26.

Thirteen participating teams are divided into two groups (seven and six teams in each). Here the teams will play the group stage in a round robin format, playing two matches with each opponent. All matches at the group stage of the championship will be held in the BO1 format. The winners of each group will go directly to the final part of the competition, which will be held from 24 to 26 June.

Teams that take places from 2nd to 6th will proceed to the Play-In stage. The teams placed on the last two lines of their groups will start their way from the first round. The winners of this stage will proceed to the quarter-finals, where they will meet with the teams that took fourth places in both groups. The teams that turned out to be stronger in the 1/4 finals will advance to the semi-finals of the Play-In stage, where they will meet with the teams that took third places in their groups. Well, the winners of the semi-finals will compete for two tickets to the decisive stage of WePlay Academy League Season 4, playing with the second teams of their groups.
