Vitality defeat G2 in a three-map series at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026

The clash between Team Vitality and G2 Esports became one of the most intense matches of the opening day at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026. The teams traded maps and pushed the series to a decider, but Vitality proved stronger in the key moments. The French side secured a 2–1 victory and move forward in the 1–0 bracket, while G2 drop to 0–1.

Mirage (13:11 Vitality)

Mirage, Vitality’s pick, saw the first half end with a narrow 7:5 advantage in their favor. After the side switch, the battle remained intense. G2 showed solid defense and managed to take an 11:10 lead, gaining psychological momentum. It seemed like G2 could close it out, but Vitality held their ground and secured the map 13:11.

Inferno (13:8 G2)

Inferno followed a similar script, this time in favor of G2. They played the first half on the CT side and secured a 7:5 lead. After switching to the T side, G2 conceded only three rounds and leveled the series 1–1 with a 13:8 victory.

Anubis (13:8 Vitality)

The decisive Anubis ended in favor of Vitality. Although G2 tried to keep the game competitive in the first half, Vitality controlled the pace and confidently closed the series 2–1 after a 13:8 win on the final map.
