ESL Impact League Season 1 Invitations Announced
Tournament operator ESL has announced the list of invited teams for ESL Impact League Season 1. Currently, the organizers have introduced five of the six teams in three regions that will compete with other participants from the open qualifiers.
In the European division of the tournament, the teams GODSENT Female and Nigma Galaxy Female received invitations. They will be joined by six more teams that will overcome two open qualifiers.
In the North American division, invites were received by Counter Logic Gaming Red and Little Bocks. They will also be joined by six teams that will overcome two open qualifiers.
In the South African division, FURIA Esports Female received an invitation. The organizers will introduce one more participant to this team. In addition, six other teams will be determined based on the results of two open qualifiers.
Starting March 17, ESL Impact League Season 1 will take place every Thursday and Friday for six weeks. Eight teams in each region will be divided into two groups of four teams and compete for prizes in a round robin format with BO3 matches. The winner of Group A will face the second team from Group B and vice versa for two spots to the Global Finals, which will be held June 3-5 at IEM Dallas 2022. At the same time, the bottom-placed teams in each group will go to play against the best teams from open qualifiers. Two more slots in the decisive stage of the event will be given to teams that have passed through the Wild Card for teams from South Africa, Asia and Oceania.

- First open qualifier: March 8-9 (three teams qualify for ESL Impact League Season 1).
- Second open qualifier: March 11-12 (three teams qualify for ESL Impact League Season 1).
