Teams OG, Dignitas, AVE and HEET qualified for the RMR tournament for Europe. Following the results of the first open qualifier, these teams proved to be stronger than many other contenders for a trip to PGL Major Antwerp 2022, joining many well-known names, including NAVI, Gambit, G2 Esports and Astralis.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR Open Qualifier 1 brought several surprises at once. First, the forZe team was defeated by the trickst3rs (UNPLUGG3D) team. As it became known later, some players of the team used cheats during the match, after which they received a well-deserved block.

Secondly, many well-known teams did not reach the final stage of the qualification, including Sprout, BIG, Nemiga and ECSTATIC.

In turn, OG, which was among the best, managed to overcome donttalkingplz (16:1), Eternal Fire (16:11), PGE Turow (19:15), KTRL (16:6), 1shot (16:10), cowana Gaming (16:3) and Team Spirit (2:1). However, in the semi-finals of the qualification, the European team lost to HEET (13:16), thus falling into the bracket for 3rd place. Here OG managed to outplay Dignitas (19:16), thus taking the third place.

The qualifier was won by the HEET team, which overcame 322Thieves (16:1), chidori (16:7), fartovie (16:0), Team Represent (16:1), EPIC DUDES (16:13), SKADE (19:17), B8 (2:1), OG (16:13) and AVE.

The AVE team showed itself in a very unexpected way, which managed to outplay okura (16:6), ASAP Team (16:13), Fraternity (16:6), HAVU (16:6), Sprout (16:12), GamerLegion (16:11), fnatic (2:0) and Dignitas (16:11). However, in the decisive match, the Russian team had problems with the connection, as a result of which HEET received a technical victory.

The last team to qualify was Dignitas, which in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR Open Qualifier 1 turned out to be stronger than Lodis by IHG (16:12), ET Team (16:10), EVILNINE (16:5), Team Singularity (16:4), UNPLUGG3D (16:5), BenchedHeroes (16:7) and Wisła Kraków (2:1). However, at the end of the qualification, the Swedish team lost to AVE (11:16) and OG (16:19), thus taking the fourth place.
