The Copenhagen Flames team lost to Virtus.pro with a score of 1:2 and were eliminated from IEM Katowice 2022. At the same time, Virtus.pro defeated NIP with a score of 2:1, thanks to which they advanced to the championship playoffs. Now Virtus.pro will compete for a place in the semi-finals of the tournament, meeting with the Danish team Heroic, who outplayed Vitality the day before.

Copenhagen Flames - Gambit

An intriguing duel started on the Overpass map, which became the choice of the Danish team. However, after a successful start, the hosts failed to develop their advantage, allowing Gambit to finish the half with a score of 9:6. Defensively, the Copenhagen Flames seemed to quickly make up the difference; but the players of the Russian team showed a confident attack, thanks to which they took the lead in the series — 16:12.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became Gambit's choice. Now the Danes had a slight advantage in the first half, ending it with a minimal score difference. However, after switching sides, the Copenhagen Flames managed to take over the economy and quickly run into the gap, which ultimately allowed the team to level the score and go to the destroyer - 16:13.

Everything was decided on the Vertigo map, which started with Gambit's overwhelming offensive advantage. At the same time, the Danes did not manage to adapt to the opponent's attack, finishing the half in defense with a score of 4:11. Well, after the change of sides, the Russian team confidently closed all questions, finally knocking out Copenhagen Flames with IEM Katowice 2022 - 16:6.

Virtus.pro-NIP

The parallel meeting also started on the Overpass map, which was chosen by the Swedish team. The players of Virtus.pro were obviously delighted with such a peak, they closed the first half with a two-fold advantage in the score. Already after the change of sides, the team from the CIS quickly finished what they started, having scored a confident victory at the opponent's peak - 16:9.

Next, the teams moved to the Vertigo map, where VP managed to win back the minimal advantage before switching sides. However, in the second half, NIP managed to win the economic war, and at the same time unexpectedly win at the opponent's pick and take the series to the desider — 16:12.

Everything was decided on the Ancient map, where Virtus.pro showed a too confident attack, actually solving all the issues even before the side switching. Well, in the second half, the Swedes failed to return to the game, allowing the team from the CIS to continue playing in the upper bracket of the championship - 16:8.
