According to Snowball Esports, Liazz will play for Renegades at IEM Katowice 2022. Sources close to the situation say that the 24-year-old Australian esportsman will act as a temporary replacement, while the organization will continue to look for a fifth player after the championship.

Renegades has been looking to strengthen their roster since mid-December, when they parted ways with malta. At the same time, the team failed the European part of the season, having been eliminated from ESL Pro League Conference Season 15 and PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

In turn, Liazz spent the last season as part of EXTREMUM, where the esportsman failed to show any results. As a result, the 24-year-old Australian was off the stage in October, when, amid crumpled performances and a failure in the RMR cycle, the Russian organization transferred the roster to inactive.

Note that Liazz has already represented the Renegades colors from 2018 to 2019. During this period, the esportsman won the Asia Minor Championship - Katowice 2019, and also made it to the top three at StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7 and StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. However, the paths of the player and the organization parted ways in October 2019, when the line-up was bought out by 100 Thieves.

Renegades will start their journey at IEM Katowice 2022 with the Play-In stage starting on Tuesday, February 15th. Together with the Australian team, NIP, Astralis, Sprout, Wisla Krakow, Extra Salt, Entropiq, Copenhagen Flames, ENCE, FaZe Clan GODSENT, MIBR, BIG, OG, fnatic and MOUZ will take part.

IEM Katowice 2022 will take place from 15 to 27 February in Katowice. The tournament will feature some of the best teams in the world including NAVI, Gambit, G2, Heroic, Vitality, Astralis and Virtus.pro. A total of 24 teams will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
