Teams Entropiq and K23 reached the semi-finals of Funspark ULTI 2021 Finals. According to the results of the first game day of the championship, the teams outplayed ECSTATIC (2:0) and Astralis (2:1), respectively, sending the Danes to the lower bracket. While Entropiq is waiting for the winner of the Gambit - Extra Salt meeting, K23 will play with the best team of the fnatic meeting - BIG.

Entropiq-ECSTATIC

The first quarter-final of Funspark ULTI 2021 Finals started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, Entropiq quickly seized the initiative on the server, showing an impressive game for the attacking side. As a result, the Danes, faced with the pressure of the opponent, failed to return to the game, thus allowing NickelBack and the company to take the lead in the series — 16:5.

Next, the players moved to the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Danish team. At the same time, both teams showed an equal fight, failing to determine the winner based on the results of two halves. The teams continued to hold on to the result during additional rounds, resisting each other. And yet, at the decisive moment, the Entropiq players turned out to be more decisive, having managed to get their first victory in the championship - 22:18.

Astralis-K23

The main match of the game day also started on the Mirage map, which was picked by the team from the CIS. At the same time, already at the start of the meeting, it became noticeable how difficult it was for the Danes to enter the new season. And yet, after the change of sides, Astralis managed to bounce back and level the gap, thereby reducing the matter to overtime. However, here the K23 players did not miss the opportunity to upset the favorite by taking their own pick and taking the lead in the series — 22:19.

Next, the teams went to the Inferno map, which became the choice of Astralis. At the same time, the Danes immediately took the initiative, showing a convincing half in the attack. After the defeat in the first half, K23 did not have time to recover, as Astralis continued to bend its line in defense as well. As a result, the Danes confidently took their own pick, thus equalizing the score in the series — 16:8.

Everything was decided on the Overpass map, where the advantage quickly went into the hands of K23. However, after a confident half in defense, the Russian team began to get lost in attack, allowing the opponent to get closer. The ending ended in a nervous atmosphere, as the Danes, having an advantage, allowed K23 to level the score and take the map to overtime. Here, the team from the CIS once again showed character, having scored a sensational victory over Astralis - 19:16.
