All participants of the main stage of IEM Katowice 2022 have been determined
At the end of IEM Winter 2021, the names of all participating teams that have earned the right to participate in the main stage of IEM Katowice 2022 have become known. Virtus.pro, Vitality and Heroic will also make up NAVI and Gambit.
The main stage of IEM Katowice 2022 will be attended by eight teams that have received direct invites based on the number of points earned in the ESL Pro Tour table, as well as eight teams that have passed the Play-In stage. According to the results of the season, the right to play in the main stage of IEM Katowice 2022 was received by: Gambit Esports, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Team Vitality, Heroic, Virtus.pro, FURIA Esports and Team Liquid.
At the same time, the names of eight of the sixteen teams that will start their way to IEM Katowice 2022 from the Play-In stage are known. They are Ninjas in Pajamas, Astralis, FaZe Clan, GODSENT, MIBR, Renegades, TYLOO and Wisła Kraków. In this case, one of the slots will go to the team that took the fourth place in the North American ranking. Currently, Extra Salt and paiN are fighting for the right to perform at IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In.
In addition, the organizers will issue eight invitations to the Play-In stage for teams that occupy high places in the ESL World rating. Entropiq, BIG, ENCE, OG, Copenhagen Flames, MOUZ, MAD Lions and Movistar Riders may exercise this right at the time of posting.
IEM Katowice 2022 will take place from 15 to 27 February in Katowice. 24 teams from all over the world will compete for a prize pool of $ 1,000,000.
