WePlay Academy League Season 2: Young Ninjas and MOUZ NXT will vie for the grand final
/The first game day of the WePlay Academy League Season 2 has come to an end, according to the results of which Young Ninjas and MOUZ NXT will compete for reaching the grand final of the competition. At the same time, BIG Academy and Natus Vincere Junior will meet in the first round of the lower bracket, revealing the worst team of the tournament.
Young Ninjas - BIG Academy
The tournament in Kiev was opened by a meeting between Young Ninjas and BIG Academy. The German team already had little chance of a sensation, and with the start of the fight, there was no hope at all. Already at the start of the Inferno map, it became clear that the Swedes from Young Ninjas would easily formalize the victory, since they were leading to the changeover with a score of 12: 3. And even though the game was more equal in the second half, it was not difficult for the team to close BIG Academy and come out ahead - 16: 8.
Things got even worse for the German team on Mirage, as the Swedes finished the first half with an even more devastating score - 13: 2. Now the side switching did not instill confidence in the BIG Academy players, since Young Ninjas very easily got the necessary rounds, thereby recording the first victory in the championship - 16: 3.
MOUZ NXT - NAVI Junior
In the second fight, everything started in a similar style, since NAVI Junior, having picked the Ancient card, bothered to take only three rounds in the attack, thereby drawing the line of its preparation. At the same time, and after the changeover, MOUZ NXT continued to press to record a convincing victory at the opponent's pick - 16: 3.
It seemed that everything would be decided on the Inferno map. However, the team from the CIS quite confidently started the half in defense, securing three rounds of difference. At the same time, after the changeover, NAVI Junior continued to dominate, over and over again opening up the opponent's defense. As a result, NAVI Junior managed to take the economy into their own hands, thereby leveling up in the series - 16:13.
Everything was decided on the Mirage map, where after the first half it was impossible to single out a favorite. However, immediately after the change of sides, the European team pulled themselves together in order to quickly break away from NAVI Junior, and at the same time reach the final of the upper bracket - 16: 8.
