Liquid and FURIA recognize their rivals in the group stage IEM Fall 2021 North America

The results of the North American RMR tournament draw have become known, following which Team Liquid and FURIA recognized their rivals in the IEM Fall 2021 North America stage group.

Group A will be led by Team Liquid, which will face the current leader of the regional table, EXTREMUM. They will be accompanied by Bad News Bears, Extra Salt, paiN Gaming and ATK.

In Group B, we will watch the Brazilian showdown between FURIA, GODSENT, Team One and 00Nation. The four presented are intended to dilute Evil Geniuses and Triumph, which are going through hard times.

IEM Fall 2021 North America format

Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs of the championship. All group stage matches will be played in BO1 format, with each team playing in a group of five matches, following the "Round-robin" algorithm.

The teams that took 3 places in each group will play in the match for the 5th place. The usual BO3 format will return to the playoffs of the tournament. All teams will start their journey from the semi-final stage. The teams that lost their meetings will have the opportunity to play in the match for the 3rd place. The Grand Final will be held in BO5 format without handicap.

As a reminder, IEM Fall 2021 North America will take place online from October 5-10. 12 teams will compete not only for a prize pool of $ 70,000, but also for precious RMR points.

  • 1st place: $ 25,000 + 2500 RMR points.
  • 2nd Place: $ 16,000 + 2344 RMR Points.
  • 3rd place: $ 11,000 + 2188 RMR Points.
  • 4th place: $ 7,000 + 2,031 RMR points.
  • 5th Place: $ 4,000 + 1,875 RMR Points.
  • 6th place: $ 2,500
  • 7th-8th place: $ 1,500.
  • 7th-8th place: $ 1,500
  • 9-10th place: $ 750.
  • 9-10th place: $ 750.
