The Euro 2024 dispute

One of the biggest competitions of 2024 is about to begin and there's no other talk in the football world! The main European teams have already called up their players and stars.

The coaches are feeling hopeful about winning the trophy, which this year will be held in Germany (home to some of the best football teams in the world today). Along with England, France and Croatia, the home team sees the tournament as a gateway to new investment, now that the Champions League and the Spanish league (Europe's top leagues) are over and their local teams are established.

But who could be the winner of this edition, which will take place in German cities such as Berlin and Frankfurt, and what can be expected from this competition?

The Euro 2024 matches

The schedule for the Euro 2024 matches is ready, and once the teams have been defined and their brackets set, it's easier to know who the favourites are.

According to data and odds published on the NetBet website, the teams tipped as favourites to win are: France, Germany, England and Croatia.

The bookmakers have already started taking bets from fans and punters all over the world. But can betting really confirm the best teams and the possible favourites to win the tournament?

Well, between 14 June and 14 July, the eyes of the world will certainly be on the competition. In 2021, Italy was crowned champion, and against all odds. In other words, an underdog won the tournament. Whether the same will happen this year cannot be fully predicted.

The only thing that can be pointed out is that the teams mentioned above are the odds-on favourites for this year, based on their players, coaching staff and performances throughout the year.

Eating from the edges are Italy and Spain. Portugal also have everything to surprise with Cristiano Ronaldo playing his last games for the Portuguese national team, as many are claiming at the moment.

The French armada is strong and led on the pitch by Mbappé, Griezmann and Giroud (the team's leader). In fact, this generation of the French team hasn't lifted the Euro trophy before, and it would be a great opportunity for them to do so this year.

Team preparation

The teams are already set and so the final phase of preparation begins. The host cities that will host the matches so eagerly awaited by fans and punters are as follows:

  • Berlin
  • Cologne
  • Dortmund
  • Dusseldorf
  • Frankfurt
  • Hamburg
  • Stuttgart
  • Munich

And fans who couldn't get tickets to enter the stadiums will be able to watch the game through the so-called fanzone (areas reserved for fans and sports lovers in general). The funzones became popular after the Qatar World Cup, when many fans preferred to stay outside the stadiums and enjoy the festivities prepared for them, as well as journalists and the press in general.

The important thing is not to be left out of the party! Whether inside the stadium, on the outskirts or even at home, Euro 2024 can already be considered the sporting event of the year!
