Streaming and online gambling are two industries that have experienced massive growth in recent years. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before the two fields began to overlap. Below we discuss what makes gambling and casino streams so attractive, what the legal situation is and which streamers are particularly well known for their gambling streams.

Are gambling streams legal?

In principle, streaming casino content is not illegal, provided you are on a platform with an age check. This is because the minimum age for gambling is 18 if you want to register with an online casino in Germany. However, some platforms take a stand on the issue themselves. The Twitch platform, for example, has completely banned the streaming of gambling and casino content. Other platforms such as Kick take a more relaxed view of the situation.

What makes gambling streams so attractive?

A modern online casino usually has a visually very attractive presentation that deliberately focuses on increased entertainment value. Whether as a viewer or a player, there is a lot happening on the screen, especially when there is a win. What's more, many streamers cultivate a community, so in addition to the gambling content, you also have a form of social connection and a sense of belonging. Many members of the audience are gamblers themselves who want to minimise the isolating element of online gambling by playing together during the stream.

Well-known streamers with casino content:

In fact, there are numerous streamers who produce content about casinos, gambling or even sports betting. Some of the channels are of a mixed nature, while others focus entirely on gambling.

BPGambles

The BPGambles channel with around 7,000 followers was originally created on Twitch. After gambling content was banned, it moved to its competitor Kick. BP himself is a sports fan in his mid-thirties who streams his gambling adventures from home. He primarily focusses on classic casino games such as slots and blackjack. In almost every stream, he displays his "Beer Count" on the screen and occasionally reviews beers sent to him by the audience.

AdinRoss

AdinRoss originally built his brand as a streamer for NBA games, but has developed in various other directions over the years. The US-American now primarily streams his slots and blackjack games. He makes a high profit from sponsoring crypto casinos and other providers. Even though he still streams gaming content, primarily GTA, he is now considered one of the most influential streamers in the gaming sector. AdinRoss has an audience of around 6 million viewers.

Knossi

The 37-year-old Jens Knossala initially made a name for himself primarily as a television commentator. In 2011, he won a prominent poker tournament and has been closely associated with the game ever since. Over time, "Knossi" built up a presence on the internet, where he now primarily streams gambling and casino content. His loud demeanour and established media experience helped him build a large audience of over 2.3 million followers. The self-proclaimed king of the internet is active on YouTube and Twitch. In addition to his streaming activities, Knossala is also active as a singer.
