LEC Spring 2025: Playoffs Schedule and Week 7 Recap

The LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season has come to an end. Every team fought until the very last moment and gave it their all — but as always, there are winners and losers. After seven weeks of incredible games, we now get to watch the teams that made it to the Playoffs stage.
In this blog, we’ll break down the current standings and the upcoming matches, briefly recap what happened during the final Week 7 of the Regular Season, and take a moment to reflect on which team might rise to claim the LEC Spring 2025 championship title.
LEC Spring 2025 Play-off Format
A total of 10 teams took part in the tournament, but only the top 6 managed to reach the Playoffs stage. Unlike the Regular Season, which was played in a Bo3 format, all LEC Spring Playoffs matches will be Bo5.
It’s also important to understand just how much tougher Bo5s become with the Fearless Draft format in place. To win, teams will either need to perform at their absolute peak and finish the series quickly using their signature champions, or adapt by expanding their champion pools and overall strategies.
It’s worth noting that teams starting in the upper bracket will have a second chance, as the Playoffs follow a double elimination format. Meanwhile, the teams beginning in the lower bracket — based on Regular Season results — will need to go all-in from the very first match, as they won’t get another shot.
LEC Spring 2025 Week 7 Results

The final week of the LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season was full of tension for most teams, as some had to rely on the results of others and couldn’t influence their own standings directly.
One of the most anticipated matchups was Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the full extent of both teams' potential, as they had already secured their Playoffs spots by that point. For KC, however, the motivation was clear: securing first place would give them the advantage of choosing their opponent for the opening day of Playoffs. In the end, KC defeated G2 with a 2–1 scoreline and finished the Regular Season at the top of the standings.
Fnatic took second place, marking their second consecutive strong Regular Season performance. MKOI secured third place, and G2 Esports ended in fourth — locking in the final upper bracket seed for the Playoffs.
Fifth place went to GIANTX, while sixth had to be decided via a tiebreaker. Team Heretics and Team Vitality ended the Regular Season with identical records and were tied for the last Playoffs spot. The two teams faced off in a Bo1 match, where Team Heretics came out on top — claiming the final ticket to the Playoffs.
As a result, the full Playoffs lineup for LEC Spring 2025 is now confirmed. Team Vitality, Team BDS, SK Gaming, and Rogue have been eliminated after finishing at the bottom of the standings.
LEC Spring 2025 Play-Off Schedule
The Playoffs will run from May 24 to June 8, with one match scheduled per day. And here is the LEC Spring 2025 – Playoff Schedule:
Date | Match |
May 24 | G2 Esports vs Fnatic |
May 25 | Karmine Corp vs MKOI |
The first teams to play will be those that finished in the top 4 of the Regular Season. Thanks to their first-place finish, Karmine Corp had the privilege of choosing their opponent for their opening Playoff match. They could choose between the third and fourth seeds — MKOI and G2 Esports.
Despite MKOI finishing higher in the standings than G2, KC considered them the more favorable matchup. G2’s group stage performance was underwhelming, and KC likely saw MKOI as the safer bet to start their Playoff run.

LEC Spring 2025 Predictions
Let’s take a moment to consider who might become the LEC Spring Split champion. Without a doubt, Karmine Corp are looking like the clear favorites. They’re the winners of the Winter Split and the silver medalists of the First Stand. If we go by their LEC Winter 2025 victory alone, KC definitely look like top contenders — especially after completely dominating G2 Esports in the Winter Finals with a clean 3–0 sweep, which earned them a ticket to First Stand.
As for their second-place finish at First Stand, it sounds impressive on paper, but the reality is a bit more nuanced. First Stand is a brand-new international tournament that debuted this year and featured top teams from various regions. In truth, no team was able to truly challenge the Korean giants Hanwha Life Esports. Even the legendary Chinese region, represented by Top Esports, fell short. KC’s run to the finals felt more like a fortunate break than a display of dominance — and once there, they were outclassed. Hanwha Life proved to be miles ahead of every opponent and closed the series 3–1 without much resistance.
Still, Karmine Corp remain the tournament favorites — but nothing is guaranteed. Fnatic, who finished second in the Regular Season, have been delivering strong performances for two splits in a row. Back in Winter, they were just one step away from reaching the finals. They lost to KC in the lower bracket final — but it was a nail-biter, ending 3–2. That says a lot about how close these teams are.
MKOI are also worth keeping an eye on. Like Fnatic, they’ve impressed in both splits, but something still seems to be missing. In many of their losses, they appeared to beat themselves. Their fast-paced, aggressive style is hard to deal with — but it’s also high-risk. And they’ve paid the price. Overextending, diving too deep, or making one poor call often cost them their lead. Against weaker teams, that can be recovered. But at this level, such a playstyle demands perfection — you need to understand every detail of your draft and the individual power spikes of your champions to fully unlock the potential of your strategy.
And we can’t forget about G2 Esports. They still have what it takes to contend for the title. In 2024, they dominated the region. But after roster changes heading into 2025, their results have dipped. Losing 0–3 to KC in the Winter Finals likely shook the team’s confidence. Still, G2’s roster is full of seasoned veterans, and that experience could be the key. There’s a strong chance we’ll see the team find their stride just in time for Playoffs.
LEC Spring 2025 Tournament Details
Who will become the LEC Spring 2025 champions? That question still remains unanswered. Throughout the Regular Season, every team proved that anyone can win — and anyone can stumble, even against a lower-ranked opponent.
But in the Playoffs, there’s no room for mistakes. The stakes are high. The prize pool stands at €80,000, but money isn’t the main goal here. What truly matters is that both the winner and the runner-up will qualify for the Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC) and the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 (MSI) — two of the season’s most important events that offer a shot at every player’s ultimate dream: Worlds.
The heat is rising, and the games are about to get even more intense. We wish you an amazing viewing experience — and may your team be the one lifting the trophy!
