Times have been a little strange lately. Everyone has holed up in their homes for the past 18 months trying to keep the pandemic flat and doing their best to keep the spread of the coronavirus to a minimum. Therefore, several people have been looking for new and creative ways to get in touch with friends and relatives, as face-to-face meetings were not possible in the foreseeable future.
After a while, even FaceTime and waving when you passed your friends' homes on a walk got boring. One thing we have that has not been around in other pandemics is the internet, which makes it a lot easier to get in touch with. A lot has changed, but not everything has to. We don't have to skip the game night. Every evening can now be a game night. That's why we've compiled a list of the best online games like virtual board games and games that you can stream with friends.
Scrabble
Ah, the game where every family pulls out the dictionary. Many a divorce lawyer has the story of “YOLO is a word! I can use it in one sentence! N "in the days after Christmas.
However, if you scroll through the app store, you might come across the much happier Words With Friends. Words With Friends, reputedly for creating relationships rather than destroying them thanks to some viral stories, is the therapist for our family crisis.
Invite known friends to play or team up with a random player and see what you can make of it.
At least there is no board online to turn over, but since the app has the final say, one or the other phone might fly out of the window.
Blackjack
It turns out you don't have to go all the way to Las Vegas to play real blackjack. Whether on your cell phone or your computer, you can find live blackjack almost anywhere on the internet in live casinos in Germany.
Try the classic version or try new variations to enjoy the thrill of the game.
But it's not all blackjack. There are even themed games like Deal or No Deal or Monopoly Live. Speaking of Monopoly...
monopoly
There are already every type of Monopoly: from Disney villains Monopoly to every football club Monopoly and even Trolls Monopoly. So it's no big surprise that the man with the top hat and walking stick can be found on the internet too.

In the mobile app, you have the option of playing as a single player against the app, teaming up with others online, matching and playing, making your move and handing the phone around the room, or playing online with invited friends.
It's the same annoying pleasure you remember taking counterfeit money from your friends and building your capitalist empire out of plastic hotels - and it really should be explored as an element of the human condition.
And when you play against the app, you can set it to easy mode and regain some dignity from your last bust.
Dungeons and Dragons
Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most famous and iconic role-playing games out there. It's perfect for anyone who wants to get lost in a fantasy adventure story while playing a video game.
Since we were all locked in the house because of the corona virus, the creators of the game have made all dungeons, raids and expansion packages accessible to everyone. So if there ever was a chance to try out the game the kids at Stranger Things love so much, now is the time.
U.N.
UNO, the game that sparked a thousand memes, can be played online against other online players or with your friends. And this time around, the rules of the app go so far that you can't stack a drawn four with another for a player to draw an eight.
The app also offers a ton of additional modes to make the game more challenging when it's just too easy to beat your friends.
Even today people argue about which is more powerful: the pen, the sword or the four draw cards.
Why not try the online version for once? You can meet with friends from far away or make new friends. Whichever way you play, have fun!
