source Cybersport is gradually becoming a full-fledged part of big sport. A clear proof of this is its integration into the Olympics at The International Games. According to the organisers, esports will already be represented at the Olympic Games in Paris and the Asian Games in Hangzhou in the coming season.

The latest developments from the International Olympic Committee

As noted by representatives of licensed betting agencies in Ukraine, esports is becoming increasingly popular among fans of gambling and sports betting. It is also increasingly asserting itself as a full-fledged part of big sports.

Over the last few years, conditions have been such that the field of entertainment has had to reformat itself en masse online. Cybersport is doing the same, as evidenced by the multitude of international online tournaments. Analysts point out that online casinos and bookmakers are using all sorts of tools, such as bonus, promo codes and promotions to lure potential customers to the virtual sphere as well.

The latest major achievement is that the International Euromoney Committee is now playing the Olympics. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has already introduced an entire large section dedicated to eѕроrtѕ on the Olympics website. Although, as a source from gazeta.lviv.ua points out, all the disciplines presented there are simulations of traditional sports. But the Asian Games, which will be held in 2023, will feature more familiar disciplines such as League of Legends, Dota2, Street Fighter, FIFA Online

On 5 May, the IOC announced on its website the addition of the computer game Fortnite to the programme for the 2023 Olympic Games. The game is a global virtual and simulation-based competition created by the IOC in cooperation with international federations and game publishers. In addition to Fortnite, it includes:

  • Tic Tac Bow (archery);
  • WBSC eBASEBALL: Power Pros (baseball);
  • Chess.com (chess);
  • Zwift (cycling);
  • Just Dance (dance);
  • Gran Turismo 7 (motorsport);
  • Virtual Regatta (regatta);
  • Virtual Taekwondo (taekwondo);
  • Tennis: Clash (tennis).

The matches in Fortnite will be played as a shooting competition. Twelve players from the Fortnite Champion series will take part. The Shooting final will be broadcast live on June 24. The IOC also reminds us that the best players will participate in the in-person final in Singapore on 22-25 June.
