Fortnite is included in the 2023 Olympic Games series

According to the organisers, esports will already be represented at the Olympic Games in Paris and the Asian Games in Hangzhou in the coming season.

But the Asian Games, which will be held in 2023, will feature more familiar disciplines such as League of Legends, Dota2, Street Fighter, FIFA Online

On 5 May, the IOC announced on its website the addition of the computer game Fortnite to the programme for the 2023 Olympic Games. The game is a global virtual and simulation-based competition created by the IOC in cooperation with international federations and game publishers. In addition to Fortnite, it includes:

• Tic Tac Bow (archery);
• WBSC eBASEBALL: Power Pros (baseball);
• Chess.com (chess);
• Zwift (cycling);
• Just Dance (dance);
• Gran Turismo 7 (motorsport);
• Virtual Regatta (regatta);
• Virtual Taekwondo (taekwondo);
• Tennis: Clash (tennis).

The matches in Fortnite will be played as a shooting competition. Twelve players from the Fortnite Champion series will take part. The Shooting final will be broadcast live on June 24. The IOC also reminds us that the best players will participate in the in-person final in Singapore on 22-25 June.
