
Dota 2 BLAST Slam V Overview

The professional Dota 2 season continues with BLAST Slam V, which begins on November 25, 2025. Twelve teams will compete in the tournament, fighting for the championship title and a $1 million prize pool. Moreover, the event will be held in a unique format featuring a large number of matches. BLAST Slam V Format and Dates

BLAST Slam V will take place from November 25 to December 7, 2025, in Chengdu and is the second tournament of this series in this part of the season.
The tournament will have a unique multi-stage format:
Group Stage (November 25 - November 29, 2025)
- 12 teams, Bo1 round-robin
- Top 2 teams advance to Semifinals
- 3rd–8th place teams proceed to Play-In
- 9th–12th place teams proceed to Last Chance Playoff
Last Chance Playoff (November 30, 2025)
- All matches are Bo3
- Winner advances to Play-In
- Remaining teams are eliminated
Play-In (November 30, 2025)
- All matches are Bo3
- Winner advances to Quarterfinals
- Remaining teams are eliminated
Playoffs (December 5 - December 7, 2025)
- Single-elimination bracket
- Grand Final is Bo5, all other matches are Bo3
Such a format allows more matches to be played, ensuring a fairer determination of the strongest teams. In addition, BLAST Slam V has a combined format: the Group Stage matches will be played online, while the playoffs will take place at the Wuliangye Culture & Sports Center in Chengdu.
