Chaos Knight 7.31
Yuriy SheremetThe hero's abilities allow you to catch and crush enemies in a matter of seconds, as well as play an aggressive game. In 7.31 the hero was not changed much, but a small change increased his farming speed. In addition, there are not many heroes in the meta that are good at dealing with illusions.

Description of abilities
Chaos Bolt
- The projectile flies at a speed of 700 units.
- The duration of the stun and the amount of damage are displayed above the target's head when hit (visible to both allies and enemies), while the duration is indicated with a rounded value.
- Damage and stun duration are inversely related, meaning the longer the stun lasts, the less damage the ability will deal, and vice versa.
- The ability first applies the debuff, then deals damage.
- All Chaos Knight illusions within 600 radius of the target also release fake Chaos Bolts.
- When upgraded with Aghanim's Shard, creates a controlled illusion of Chaos Knight on a successful hit on the target.
- The created illusion fully matches Phantasm's stats, uses its damage values, and is a strong illusion. The duration of the illusion is 6 sec. Duration ignores status resistance and debuff duration increase. Dispelling the stun or killing the target will not kill the illusion. If Phantasm is not learned, then the illusion will not appear. The illusion appears exactly at the location of the target and automatically starts attacking the enemy.
Reality Rift
- Projectiles cannot be avoided with Reality Rift.
- Teleports Chaos Knight to a point on the line between the hero and the target at a distance of 250/300/350/400 from the target's starting position.
- When cast on Roshan, Chaos Knight (and his illusions) move towards Roshan, but he doesn't change position.
- The armor reduction is applied to the target when the ability is used. Chaos Knight does not need to issue an attack order to apply the debuff.
- The debuff from multiple casts does not stack, but refreshes the duration.
- Does not interrupt the target's casting spells.
Chaos Strike
- Increases attack damage by an average of 6% ‒ 12%/21%/30%/39%
- Chance to proc from multiple sources of critical strike stacks. If two sources of critical strike proc at the same time, the higher modifier will take precedence.
- The lifesteal from the ability stacks with other sources of lifesteal.
- Does not trigger when attacking wards, buildings, or allies.
- The sound and particles of a critical hit are played on a swing, not on an attack hit.
Phantasm
Summons several copies of the hero from parallel dimensions. Illusions deal 100% damage and take 325% damage.
- Allows you to avoid projectiles when cast.
- While splitting, Chaos Knight is invulnerable, hidden, and spell immune.
- Applies a basic dispel on Chaos Knight on cast.
- Resets the current target priority of Chaos Knight's attacks and spells.
- After the separation is completed, Chaos Knight appears with his illusions.
- The ability issues a "stop" command to the caster after a split, canceling all orders given before or during the split.
- Casting Phantasm again replaces the illusions from the previous cast, regardless of who controls them.
- Illusions created by Phantasm are strong, meaning they do not disappear from abilities that would normally destroy illusions.
- When upgraded, Phantasm creates an illusion of each allied hero controlled by Chaos Knight.

Armlet of Mordiggian - is a fairly inexpensive artifact for the bonuses it gives. By activating the item and gaining a huge strength bonus, Chaos Knight can deal massive damage and survive in the most difficult situations. It is worth noting that if Chaos turns on the Armlet and then summons illusions, they will inherit its current characteristics, that is, they will have a huge bonus to damage and maximum health due to the strength bonus, but of course they will not lose health every second. In other words, Armlet is one of the most cost-effective artifacts for Chaos. In addition, the early purchase of this artifact makes Chaos automatically very aggressive and does not need to save gold for a long time.
Manta Style - this artifact gives Chaos Knight a good increase in attack speed and movement speed, and also allows you to summon additional illusions to your side. In fact, the ult and Manta have the same application mechanics, and if you want to consolidate your superiority through a large number of illusions, then buying a Manta will be a very good option. If the enemy has the ability to actively fight against your illusions (for example, good AOE damage), then it is better to consider some other option instead of Manta.
Heart of Tarrasque is a very good choice for Chaos. Thanks to a good strength bonus, Chaos and its illusions will become much more tenacious and will be able to deal more damage. Basically, the longer Chaos and its illusions live, the more damage it can deal. In addition, due to this artifact, Chaos can already calmly tank (including standing under the tower) and then quickly restore health.
Assault Cuirass - Thanks to the high attack speed, the chance to deal critical damage becomes much higher. In addition, due to the aura, Chaos and his illusions will receive an additional armor bonus and will be harder to kill.
Satanic - If the game drags on too long, then acquiring Satanic can be an important step. In addition to a powerful heal, the hero and his illusions will become much more powerful due to a good strength bonus.
Gameplay
Due to the high initial damage, the hero is well worth his lane, if possible, we try to attack the weak supports of the enemy. One of the main advantages of Chaos is its high potential to kill the enemy in the lane, and already at an early stage of the game. At level 2-3, with the help of his allies, Chaos can very quickly deal with the enemy in the lane who made a mistake.
Playing passively as Hos will not be very profitable, since most likely your opponents will farm faster and in the end you may collect artifacts later than them or not at all. The strategy of the game can be completely different.
Don't be afraid to press your ultimate to farm or split-push from the first levels, it will increase your farming speed a lot and the cooldown is not that high.
