As part of the VCT 2026: Americas Kickoff tournament, FURIA faced KRÜ in a best-of-three series that ended with a 2–1 victory for FURIA, who completed a reverse sweep after dropping the opening map.

The series began on Pearl, the map pick of KRÜ. KRÜ came out aggressive and controlled the tempo on both sides of the map. Their attacking rounds were built on constant pressure and confident map control, which limited FURIA’s defensive setups. Despite FURIA winning individual rounds, including the second pistol, they struggled to gain long-term momentum. In the decisive moments, KRÜ found key opening frags, with benG and infiltrator standing out, and closed the map 13:10 to take the early series lead.

On Breeze, FURIA responded on their own map pick. They secured the opening pistol round and quickly gained an economic advantage. FURIA relied heavily on an aggressive double-duelist setup, using Jett and Yoru to apply pressure and win early duels. KRÜ managed to stay competitive in the first half, but FURIA consistently converted pistols and bonus rounds, which allowed them to control the pace after the side switch. The map ended 13:8, leveling the series.

The decider, Abyss, was dominated by FURIA. They continued their strong pistol-round form, winning another crucial opening and immediately setting the tone. KRÜ were limited to only a few rounds and were unable to stabilize their economy or defensive structure. FURIA maintained firm control of key areas, executed clean splits, and denied KRÜ consistent round wins. The map finished 13:5, sealing the reverse sweep.

Series results (VCT 2026: Americas Kickoff):

  • Pearl — KRÜ 13:10
  • Breeze — FURIA 13:8
  • Abyss — FURIA 13:5
