The first participant in the upper bracket final was the European team G2 Gozen. At the start of the championship, the team extremely confidently outplayed X10 Sapphire and made it to the next round of the competition.
In the semi-finals, G2 Gozen faced the representatives of Cloud9 White. At the same time, the series started on the Ascent map, which became the choice of the North American team. And yet, the "cloudy" seized the initiative on the server, thereby taking the first card - 13:7. Next, the teams moved to the Breeze map, which became the choice of G2 Gozen. Here the European team managed to impose its own rules of the game, thus equalizing the score in the series — 13:6. Everything was decided on the Pearl map, where there was no fight as such. As a result, G2 Gozen confidently closed the desider and made it to the finals of the upper bracket of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Game Changers Championship — 13:3.
Team Liquid Brazil
The next participant in the upper bracket final was Team Liquid Brazil, which started the championship in Berlin with a victory over FENNEL Female.
In the semi-finals of the event, which was postponed for a day due to scheduling difficulties, Team Liquid Brazil faced the representatives of Shopify Rebellion GC. The first pick, which became "native" for "liquid", went to the treasury of the North American team, which showed an excellent game on the Fracture map — 13:10. However, already at the choice of an opponent, Team Liquid Brazi managed to survive in overtime and take the series to the destroyer — 14:12.
