BOOM Esports is the first to fly out of VALORANT Champions 2022

The BOOM Esports team lost to ZETA DIVISION with a score of 1:2, after which they left VALORANT Champions 2022. This is the second defeat of the Indonesian team in the group stage. In turn, the representatives of Japan will stay in the championship, trying to get into the playoffs in their next match.

The opening match of the game day began on the Haven map, which became the choice of the Indonesian team. However, the first half passed under the complete superiority of the ZETA DIVISION players, who closed the defense side with a two-fold advantage in the score - 8:4. Nevertheless, after switching sides, BOOM Esports managed to return to the game, and after that put the squeeze on the opponent and take the lead in the series — 13:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Pearl map, which turned out to be the peak of ZETA DIVISION. And again, the Japanese team showed a confident first half, having obtained an excellent advantage - 8:4. After switching sides, the Indonesians again tried to make a comeback, but in vain. As a result, ZETA DIVISION managed to keep the advantage and level the score in the series — 13:11.

Everything was decided on the map Fracture, which, surprisingly, did without intrigue. Already in the first half, the Japanese team took the opponent out of the server, giving him only two rounds — 10:2. Well, after the change of sides, ZETA DIVISION quickly dotted all the "i", thereby knocking out BOOM Esports from the championship - 13:2.

Note that according to the results of the group stage, the Leviatán, DRX and OpTic Gaming teams have already guaranteed themselves participation in the VALORANT Champions 2022 playoffs.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
