M3 Champions and FunPlus Phoenix advance to VCT 2022 semi-finals: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers
Teams M3 Champions and FunPlus Phoenix advanced to the semi-finals of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers. As a result, M3 Champions confidently closed the opponent's pick and took the lead in the series — 13:7.
The teams then moved to the Breeze map, which became the M3 Champions' choice. However, the teams did not manage to determine the winner in two halves, having moved to overtime. The Russian team turned out to be stronger here, having obtained an unexpected victory over Acend and made it to the semi-finals of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers — 16:14.
Team Liquid - FunPlus Phoenix
The final quarter-final started on the Split map, where the future winner immediately became known. But if the first half ended in a complete defeat from FunPlus Phoenix, then after the change of sides, Team Liquid managed to close the gap. And yet, d00mbr0s' wards managed to keep the advantage and at the same time take the lead in the series — 13:8.
Then the teams moved to the Icebox map, the first half of which passed with a slight margin in favor of Team Liquid. However, after the switchover, the Liquids showed impeccable defense, thanks to which they equalized the score in the series — 13:8.
Everything was decided on the Haven map, which dragged on for overtime. However, here FunPlus Phoenix managed to snatch victory and get into the semi-finals of the competition - 14:12.
