Excel Esports is the winner of VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Northern Europe: Polaris Stage 1

The VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Northern Europe: Polaris Stage 1 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from February 14 to March 20, eight teams from the UK, Northern countries and Ireland fought for a prize pool of €20,000, as well as a ticket to VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion. The winner of the tournament was the Excel Esports team, which in the grand final was stronger than TENSTAR with a score of 3:2 (Bind - 5:13; Split - 13:8; Breeze - 13:6; Ascent - 14:12).

The future winner of the championship had a good start in the VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 Northern Europe: Polaris Stage 1, having won five victories in the group stage, losing only to Alliance (0:2) and Tundra Esports (1:2) along the way.

However, the British team managed to make it to the playoffs, where they lost to TENSTAR (1:2) in the semifinals. Nevertheless, Excel Esports managed to rush through the lower bracket of the tournament, where they beat Alliance (2:1) and Tundra Esports (2:1), thus making it to the grand final. Here the team managed to get a strong-willed victory over TENSTAR (3:2), thanks to which they qualified for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion.

  • 1st place: Excel Esports — €4,000 + seat on VCT Promotion.
  • 2nd place: TENSTAR - €3,500.
  • 3rd place: MOUZ - €3,000.
  • 4th place: Angry Titans - €2,750.
  • 5th place: Dsyre - €2,400.
  • 6th place: CGN Esports - €2,250
  • 7th place: Ovation eSports - €1,100
  • 8th place: SPARX ESPORTS - €1,000.

The current roster for VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion is as follows: BIG, SuperMassive Blaze, Anonymo Esports, Surreal Esports, Rebels Gaming, Sector One, Excel Esports and FOKUS.
