Getting ready for the start of VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers
/VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers will start today. Twelve teams from the united EMEA region (CIS, Europe and Turkey) will compete for a prize pool of €200,000, as well as three tickets to VCT 2022: Masters Stage 1. In this regard, we invite you to get acquainted with the format of the event, distribution of the prize pool, schedule, participants and the group stage draw.
Format of VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers
The championship will be held in two stages:
- Group stage: February 11 - March 13.
- Playoffs: March 22-27.
VCT 2022 Group Stage: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers will divide all participants into two groups, which will be played in a round robin format with BO3 matches.
Teams that take first place in their groups go to the semi-finals of the upper bracket. Teams, located on the 2nd and 3rd lines, get into the first round of the upper bracket. At the same time, the teams that have become the worst in their groups are relegated to VCT 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion.
VCT 2022 Participants: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers
Initially, the organizers allocated four invitations to the teams that performed better than the rest last season: Gambit Esports, Team Liquid, Fnatic and ACEND. The remaining participants of the championship were determined based on the results of closed qualifiers that took place in three separate regions.

Prize pool distribution
- 1st place: €40,000 + seat at VCT 2022: Masters Stage 1.
- 2nd place: €30,000 + seat at VCT 2022: Masters Stage 1.
- 3rd place: €22,000 + seat at VCT 2022: Masters Stage 1.
- 4th place: €18,000.
- 5th-6th place: €15,000.
- 7th-8th place: €12,000.
- 9th-10th place: €10,000.
- 11th-12th place: €8,000 + elimination to VCT 2022: EMEA Challengers Promotion.
VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers will run online from February 11 to March 27. Twelve teams from the united EMEA region (CIS, Europe and Turkey) will compete for a prize pool of €200,000, as well as three tickets to VCT 2022: Masters Stage 1, which will go to the teams that have reached the grand final and the final of the lower bracket, respectively.
