Sentinels, Envy, Cloud9 Blue and 100 Thieves received invitations at VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers
4308According to the Dot Esports portal, the teams Sentinels, Envy, Cloud9 Blue and 100 Thieves received invites to VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers. The championship will be held from February 11 to March 27 online.
All these teams showed impressive results last season. While the Sentinels won VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík as well as many North American championships, Envy finished second in VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. Cloud9 Blue had a successful end to the season, making it to the quarter-finals of VALORANT Champions 2021. At the same time, 100 Thieves has been extremely consistent throughout the season, stumbling only in the end, missing out on VALORANT Champions 2021.
The rest of the teams will be determined based on the results of two rounds of open qualifiers with the participation of 128 teams. At the same time, only four teams from each open qualifier will get to the VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, forming the final composition of the championship participants.
The first open qualifier starts on Thursday, January 27th and will run until Sunday, January 30th.
As a reminder, following the results of VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, only two teams qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters, details of which will be announced later.
