DAMWON Gaming became the winner of Asia-Pacific League 2022 - North Division - Stage 1
/The Asia-Pacific League 2022 - North Division - Stage 1 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from March 16 to April 13, eight teams from the North of Asia fought for a prize pool of $41,000, as well as four tickets to the play- off Asia-Pacific League 2022. The winner of the championship was the DAMWON Gaming team, which, following the results of seven rounds played, earned 15 points, ahead of all direct competitors.
As part of the regular season, the South Korean team got four wins in regular time, beat CYCLOPS athlete gaming in overtime, lost to SANDBOX Gaming in regular time, and also failed to cope with Talon Esports in extra time.
Nevertheless, thanks to a strong-willed victory over CYCLOPS athlete gaming (8:7) in the final round, the team managed to break into the championship leaders, earning not only a ticket to the Asia-Pacific League 2022 playoffs, but also $15,000.
