The most important event of this autumn - Worlds 2023 - is gaining momentum in South Korea. The group stage of Worlds 2023 will feature matches involving 16 of the best teams in the world.

Among the participants of the group stage are Cloud9 and MAD Lions. They will play their debut match in the Swiss system against each other.

We will see how this even match will end and which of the teams will be in the pool of teams 1-0 after a single bo1. Also, once again we'll see which region is stronger: NA or EU?

MAD Lions uniforms

We continue the match analysis with the analysis of the MAD Lions form. In this match, the Lions will play in the status of an outsider with odds to win around 1.9.

Since 2021, they have been a consistent winner of LEC splits with a slight adjustment for last season's failure. In 2023 the team took the 2nd place at LEC Winter 2023 and won LEC Spring 2023, which we would like to pay special attention to.

For example, MSI 2023 and top 8 there, which is good in principle, but the result at LEC Summer 2023 is already sad. At the last LEC Championships MAD Lions, the reigning Spring Split champions, crashed out at the Top 7 position, which is clearly not the level.

LEC Finals 2023 MAD Lions started with a match against EXCEL. The opening match of the summer split against MAD Lions temporarily confirmed the thesis of a one-tournament team, losing to the "lions" with a score of 0-3 without a chance.

Cloud9 and MAD Lions are close regions in terms of level of play and mentality and should feel each other well. If we talk about the winner, I will choose MAD Lions. Europe, represented by BDS, has already proved itself at this tournament. I'm sure the other representatives of the "Old World" will also show their game.
