Mid-Season Invitational 2021: Cloud9 managed to break into the next stage after a disastrous start
4289The group stage of the Mid-Season Invitational 2021 ended with the matches of Quartet C. Yesterday, 6 final rounds were played, which determined the last two participants of the next stage.
As expected, DAMWON Gaming took the first place in Group C with 5-1 statistics. The Korean club stumbled only once during the group stage, losing the map to Cloud9.
The fate of the second slot was much more blurred. Before the start of the last game day, Cloud9 had every chance to stay out of the next stage, having statistics of 1-2.
However, yesterday Perkz and the company gathered all their will in a fist and closed the day with a score of 3-0. Thus, C9 guaranteed to get into the Rubmle Stage with an overall stats of 4-2.
DetonatioN FocusMe took 7-9th place in the championship, and Infinity eSports 10-11th. Both teams failed to overcome the group stage.
