Mid-Season Invitational 2021

The tournament MSI 2021 (Mid-Season Invitational 2021) will take place in Iceland on May 6-22 2021. Esports will be playing offline at the closed sports arena Laugardalshöll in the format of the so-called bubble. As at March 12, 2021, it is unknown if viewers are allowed. Mid-Season Invitational 2021 is the second biggest event in League of Legends before the main tournament of the year 2021 World Championship LoL.

12 teams-winners of the regional qualifiers Mid-Season Invitational 2021 Regional Leagues will take part in the tournament MSI 2021 LoL. The tournament will be held in two stages:

• The Group Stage. 3 groups with 4 teams in each will be playing bo1 matches. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the next stage – The Rumble Stage;
• The Rumble Stage. 6 teams will be playing against each other in the Double Round-Robin system, matches will also be in a bo1 format. The top 4 teams will proceed to the Knockout Stage (Playoffs);
• The Knockout Stage. The final stage of the tournament MSI 2021 LoL. There will be 3 matches: 2 semi-finals and the final. All the matches will be carried out in a bo5 format.
