FEARX Defeat BN Freecs to Secure 2nd Place in Rise Group — LCK 2025 Round 3–5

The second match of the day in the Rise Group featured a clash between the second- and fifth-place teams — FEARX vs BN Freecs.

Game 1 Picks:

  • FEARX: Gwen, Wukong, Annie, Zeri, Lulu
  • Freecs: Ambessa, Xin Zhao, Galio, Lucian, Nami

Game 2 Picks:

  • FEARX: Aatrox, Nocturne, Ryze, Kai`Sa, Rakan
  • Freecs: Rumble, Patheon, Aurora, Sivir, Rell

Game 3 Picks:

  • FEARX: Sion, Lee Sin, Azir, Jhin, Alistar
  • Freecs: K`Sante, Trundle, Taliyah, Aphelios, Nautilus

Game 1 was filled with mistakes from both teams. There was excessive aggression, failed engages, and moments where it was clear that players weren’t on the same page — unsure whether to commit to fights or back off. Because of this chaos, the lead constantly shifted from one team to the other, making it hard to predict the outcome. However, FEARX ultimately looked more coordinated in key teamfights and managed to maintain better control in the late game, which earned them the win in Game 1.

Game 2 was a completely different story — Freecs looked like a new team. Their aggression was much more calculated, and their team coordination shined. They played around ultimates and objective timers exceptionally well, consistently winning skirmishes and securing dragons. By the 23-minute mark, they had built a 5,000 gold lead. After another dominant teamfight, they secured the Infernal Soul Point and quickly followed up with Baron. FEARX tried to contest but were completely wiped, sealing the win for Freecs.

Game 3 swung back in favor of FEARX, who took full control from the early game. Their jungler’s map movement was on point, helping his teammates secure stable lanes — especially bot lane and mid. Meanwhile, Freecs made several questionable decisions, such as contesting the blue buff while knowing the entire enemy team was nearby. Misplays like that stacked up, and FEARX capitalized on every one. It was a clean and controlled final game, securing the 2–1 series win for FEARX.

The MVP of the series was FEARX’s ADC Diable, who delivered a standout performance across all three games — finishing 9/2/15 on Zeri, 2/3/5 on Kai’Sa, and an incredible 10/0/11 on Jhin.

With this win, FEARX improve their record to 11 wins and 14 losses. Meanwhile, Freecs remain at the bottom of the standings, holding the worst score in the tournament at 2–23.
