FEARX Crush Dplus with Clean 2–0 Victory — LCK 2025 Round 3–5
The day kicked off with a Rise Group showdown between FEARX and Dplus. Coming into the match, Dplus held the top spot in the group standings, with FEARX close behind in second place.
Game 1 Picks:
- FearX: Gwen, Xin Zhao, Azir, Lucian, Braum
- Dplus: Rumble, Sejuani, Yone, Varus, Alistar
Game 2 Picks:
- FearX: Renekton, Trundle, Ahri, Kai`Sa, Rell
- Dplus: Ambessa, Lee Sin, Ryze, Yunara, Neeko
Game 1 was a near-flawless performance from FearX. Right from the start, they focused on bot lane control with constant jungle pressure. After establishing dominance there, their jungler rotated top to further strengthen the lane. Although Dplus managed to claw their way back into the game off a few FearX misplays, FearX quickly regained control. A huge part of their success came from their top laner on Gwen — his fearless initiations and willingness to fight to the end were key in securing the win.
Game 2 started in favor of Dplus. Their rotations around the map created plenty of space for their carries, especially Yunara, who farmed freely with zero pressure. Dplus also executed their teamfight combos well, steadily building a lead. But things shifted when Dplus, perhaps overconfident, started moving around the map solo. Ambessa was caught out a few times despite having a gold lead and high impact, and Neeko was also picked off during rotations. FearX weathered the storm, secured a crucial dragon fight, and gained a Soul Point. In the final fight, they executed a clean ace without losing a single member, closing out the game and sealing a 2–0 series win.
FearX’s top laner Clear was named MVP of the series thanks to his strong showing, going 7/5/6 on Gwen and delivering a solid 2/1/8 performance on Renekton.
FearX secure their 10th win of the season, bringing their record to 10–14. Meanwhile, Dplus suffer their 10th loss, now holding a 13–10 record.
