FEARX Secure Crucial 2–0 Win Over BRION in Rise Group Showdown — LCK 2025 Round 3–5
The second match of the day featured two teams from the Rise Group — BRION vs FEARX. Both teams held 8–14 records and were tied for 2nd and 3rd place in the group standings.
Game 1 Picks:
- BRION: Ornn, Trundle, Azir, Lucian, Braum
- FEARX: Rumble, Wukong, Taliyah, Yunara, Rakan
Game 2 Picks:
- BRION: Jax, Maokai, Yone, Varus, Neeko
- FEARX: Ambessa, Xin Zhao, Orianna, Jhin, Bard
Game 1 began with BRION in full control, especially their jungler Croco, who had a 5/0 score by the 10-minute mark. They were securing objectives well and forcing favorable fights. However, one critical mistake cost them the game. BRION started giving up dragons to FEARX and began fighting in less advantageous positions. One key example was the fight for Atahan, where BRION overestimated their strength and engaged too closely into Rumble. FEARX capitalized, took down four players, and gained the lead. From there, FEARX played patiently, took objectives, and maintained full map control — which ultimately led to their victory in Game 1.
Game 2 was much more even, with BRION putting constant pressure on FEARX and doing well in teamfights, especially around objectives. Everything seemed to be going their way — they even secured all four dragons. But it all fell apart in the final fight, where they lost four players. With mid already pushed and minions reaching the Tier 3 turret, FEARX seized the moment, rushed down the Nexus, and closed out the game 2–0. GGWP.
FEARX’s ADC, Diable, earned MVP honors for his standout play across both games, finishing with a 5/2/13 on Yunara and 5/2/12 on Jhin.
This victory solidified FEARX’s position in second place with an 8–14 record. Following the loss, BRION now sit in third place with a score of 8–15.
