The first match of the day featured two Rise Group teams: BNK FearX, currently holding second place in the group, faced off against DN Freecs, who sit at the bottom of the standings.

Game 1 Picks:

  • DN Freecs: Gwen, Nocturn, Orianna, Zeri, Lulu
  • BNK FearX: Rumble, Vi, Taliyah, Kai`Sa, Alistar

Game 2 Picks:

  • DN Freecs: Aatrox, Trundle, Aurora, Jinx, Nautilus
  • BNK FearX: Yorik, Wukong, Annie, Sivir, Rell

Game 1 was a clear example of just how unlucky Freecs can be. Of course, not everything can be blamed on luck, but they had a promising start. They secured clean kills with no response from FEARX, controlled the map, worked around objectives, and even had a gold lead. But it all fell apart in a single fight. First, they gave up a dragon and lost Nocturne in the process. Then, just a couple of minutes later, Freecs went for Baron — only to have it stolen and their entire team wiped. That was the end of Game 1, with FEARX taking the win.

Game 2 was much closer, and this time Freecs looked more confident. They had better control over objectives, won several key ganks and skirmishes, and seemed on track to even the series. But history repeated itself — they lost Baron again, followed by a mid-lane fight where FEARX came out on top and marched straight down mid to end the game.

With this win, FEARX improve their record to 7–12. Meanwhile, Freecs now hold the worst score in the entire LCK at 1–18. After this loss, their chances of making it to the Playoffs are nearly gone. The team would have to win almost every remaining match to avoid elimination from the tournament.
