Natus Vincere to Join the LEC: Rogue Exits the Stage
The long-running story of Rogue selling their LEC slot has finally reached its conclusion. According to Sheep Esports, Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere has acquired Rogue’s spot in the EMEA League of Legends league. NAVI is expected to make their debut in the LEC starting from the Summer Split, with an official announcement anticipated after the end of the current split.
The future of Rogue’s roster remains unclear — no details have emerged regarding the fate of the players or the coaching staff.
Rogue had been exploring options to exit the league for quite some time. Back in late 2023, Team Falcons attempted to purchase the slot but were blocked by Riot Games. In October 2024, Nigma joined the negotiation race, but those talks also fell through. It wasn’t until spring 2025 — on the third attempt — that Rogue finally found a buyer in NAVI.
Once one of the top teams on the European scene, Rogue’s decline has been swift. After winning the LEC Summer Split in 2022 and reaching the quarterfinals at Worlds, the team struggled throughout 2024, finishing near the bottom in every split. In 2025, things only got worse: Rogue placed last in both the Winter and Spring Splits — despite reuniting Malrang and Larssen, a promising duo from their past success.
In hindsight, it all looks like a team trying to stay afloat just long enough to close the deal — and now we know why.
NAVI’s arrival in the LEC could mark a significant moment for both the league and the organization itself. The big question now is whether they’ll build a brand-new roster or retain some of Rogue’s current players. One way or another, we’ll find out this summer.
