LEC Spring 2025: Week 1 Day 1 Results

The first day of the LEC Spring 2025 Regular Season has come to an end. Three matchups were played: Fnatic vs GIANTX, Rogue vs Team Heretics, and G2 Esports vs KOI. All Regular Season matches are played in a best-of-three (Bo3) format using Fearless Draft.

The day kicked off with Fnatic vs GIANTX, where Fnatic claimed a very easy 2:0 victory, once again showcasing their strong performance in the group stage.

Next up were Rogue vs Team Heretics, and the story of the previous match repeated itself. With little resistance, Team Heretics defeated Rogue with a clean 2:0 sweep.

The final match of the day was G2 Esports vs KOI. Unfortunately, it didn’t go without incident—one of the KOI players encountered a bug that led to the death of their champion. Despite this minor setback, the match turned out to be exciting and intense. Unlike the previous two matches, this one kept fans on edge. The teams traded maps, forcing a decisive game three, where G2 Esports proved to be slightly stronger and secured the victory.

At LEC Spring 2025, teams are competing for a prize pool of €80,000. But more importantly, the top two teams will qualify for MSI 2025 and the Esports World Cup 2025. Both tournaments are key stages of the season, as winning them guarantees a spot at Worlds 2025.
