G2 Esports pulled off a stunning upset by obliterating Top Esports with a 3:0 scoreline in the match to avoid elimination. Prior to this match, G2 Esports was considered the clear underdog, but that didn't stop them from creating a sensation in the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 playoffs.

Details of the G2 Esports vs Top Esports match at MSI 2024:

All three games of the series concluded before the 30-minute mark, with G2 Esports consistently holding the early advantage. Top Esports failed to mount a comeback in any of the games, ultimately accepting defeat in this match and exiting the tournament, as it was a lower bracket elimination match.

  • 1st place: TBD - $50,000; Qualifies To Worlds 2024
  • 2nd place: TBD - $40,000
  • 3rd place: TBD - $30,000
  • 4th place: TBD - $25,000
  • 5th-6th place: Top Esports - $20,000
  • 7-8th place: Fnatic; PSG.Talon - $15,000
  • 9-10th place: FlyQuest Esports; GAM Esports - $10,000
  • 11-12th place: Estral Esports; LOUD - $7,500

The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 is the first international tournament of the 2024 season (14th professional season of League of Legends). Twelve teams are competing for the championship title, $50,000, and a place at Worlds 2024.
