The analytical service will provide a statistical summary of the views of the group stage of the 2022 World Championship. As a result, the current championship has collected 405 fewer views than last year's Worlds 2021.

The decline in the audience of the group stage, which took place in New York and ended on October 16, is largely due to inconvenient time zones for Asian and European fans.

Group stage concurrent viewership peaked at 1.39 million during the match between T1 and Fnatic on Matchday 2. By comparison, the Worlds 2021 group stage peaked at 2.23 million viewers, down 38% this year.

According to Esports Charts, the decline in audience has naturally been most noticeable on the Korean-language broadcast, which the service says lost 63% of its audience compared to last year. In comparison, the English-language broadcast of the 2022 World Championship was reduced by only 5%.

The 2022 World Championship runs from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world are fighting for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
