T1 expectedly reached the playoffs of LCK Summer 2022
Ihor MatusAnother week within LCK Summer 2022 came to an end and T1 showed an excellent result as expected, which allowed them to reach the playoffs.
In the group stage last week, ten matches took place in five game days. On July 20, Brion Esports were defeated in the fight against DRX, and Nongshim RedForce could not do anything with the power of DAMWON Gaming. On the 21st, T1 beat Freecs 2-1, and KT Rolster did not feel much resistance from Hanwha Life Esports. On July 22, SANDBOX Gaming did not take a single card from Gen.G Esports, while DAMWON Gaming played DRX with a score of 1-2. The next day, T1 took another victory in the fight against Brion Esports with a score of 2-1, and KT Rolster beat Nongshim RedForce with a similar result. The last gaming day of the past week turned out to be pleasant for SANDBOX Gaming and Gen.G Esports, but unsuccessful for Freecs and Hanwha Life Esports.
Speaking of T1, it is impossible not to mention that Zeus from this team received the largest number of MVP awards - 10 pieces. His closest opponents are Aiming from KT Rolster, Ruler from Gen.G Esports, ShowMaker and DAMWON Gaming, and Peanut from Gen.G Esports. They have earned 8, 8, 7 and 6 awards.

LCK Summer 2022 runs from June 15 to August 28. The total prize pool of the Korean League is $287,000. All funds will be distributed among the four best teams. The winner will take home $153,000 and an invitation to the 2022 World Championship, while second, third and fourth place will each earn $76,500, $38,300 and $19,000.
The rest of the teams will be left with nothing, however, 5th and 6th places will receive 30 and 10 rating units, respectively. 2nd, 3rd and 4th places will earn 100, 80 and 50 points respectively.
