LPL Spring 2022 - the first tournament of the new season

Add as a Preferred Source

I welcome everyone! January 10 is here, which means the first major League of Legends tournament this year kicks off today. Please love and favor - LPL Spring 2022.

The total prize pool of the tournament will be ¥ 4,200,000 CNY (≃ $ 658,443 USD), and the main prize will be almost half of this amount, ¥ 2,000,000 (≃ $ 313,544 USD) and a traditional trip to the Mid-Season Invitational 2022.

This year, 17 best teams from the Celestial Empire that are already familiar to all of us will compete for the championship. It will be very interesting to see how the players will show themselves after the “great Chinese reshuffle”, which affected most of the LPL teams, except for the champion EDward Gaming.

First, there will be a group stage, which will last about 9 weeks. During the time of the groups, the teams will clash with each other many times, each about 16 matches. According to their results, the leaders will be determined, who will advance to the playoffs. All matches before the playoffs will be in Bo3 format.

And after the groups, the classic grid with Bo5 matches awaits us.

Tournament participants

In this split we will see the following teams in the League:
